The Collective Magazine
For Students, By Students
The Collective Magazine was founded in 2020 as a way for students and young people to publish their work outside of traditional university-led student media.
When it comes to student journalism and creativity, there is very little opportunity for young people to grow their creative portfolios. We wanted to create an inclusive online magazine platform for students and young people to publish their work, share what’s important to them and also find helpful and useful information written by fellow students or recent graduates about life.
The Collective Magazine’s Current Affairs section is a space for conversation and analysis of all breaking news. Encouraging comment-led features, we place the emphasis on opinion every Monday afternoon.
As the name suggests, The Collective Magazine’s Lifestyle section shares useful articles on all areas of public life. Whether it’s the best places to travel this year, the most affordable skincare products, or the ins and outs of healthy relationships, we’re talking about it in the Lifestyle section
Our Graduate Corner section is here to guide you through your university journey. Our writer’s offer helpful advice and tips from student life to postgraduate and will walk into the first steps of your graduate career alongside you.
The Collective Magazine’s Creative Collections are a safe and non-judgemental space to share your creative work. Alongside themed creative series, Creative Collections will offer you helpful advice on how to launch and maintain your creative career, as well as interviews from industry experts.
The Collective Magazine was founded as a space for students, graduates and young people to grow their writing portfolios. If you have an idea for an article that you’d like to write, then we would love to hear from you. There are multiple ways to get involved with The Collective Magazine - check out our 'Pitch to Us' page for more information!
