“Yes I did a live to show you all this isn’t photoshopped”: Khloe Kardashian fought back at trolls.

Many celebrities and influencers in the public eye have all commented on the pressures that society places on them. Some have even openly admitted to editing their pictures or using filters and effects. Khloe Kardashian is the latest to have spoken about this on an Instagram post, she said: “I love a good filter, good lighting and an edit here and there.”

Other stars with social media platforms have said the same. While some have completely stripped this back and posted images of them unfiltered to help people see the more natural side to people.

An unauthorised image of Khloe Kardashian recently circulated the internet. It pictured her standing pool side, with her phone in her right hand, looking towards the camera while wearing a bikini. Khloe was unhappy with the image that was released, and her team asked social media platforms to take it down.

Chief marketing officer for KKW Brands, Tracy Romulus, told Page Six: “The color edited photo was taken of Khloe during a private family gathering and posted to social media without permission by mistake by an assistant.”

Romulus added: “Khloe looks beautiful, but it is within the right of the copyright owner to want an image not intended to be published to be taken down.”

As people began talking about this across social media, many people were commenting on how the star looked, questioning why she wanted it taken down from the internet. This resulted in some people speculating whether her social media images are edited or photoshopped.

The 36-year-old reality television star fought back against these allegations by going live on Instagram and posting videos of herself to prove that her body isn’t photoshopped. She even captioned her Instagram post: “Yes I did a live to show you all this isn’t photoshopped.”

In her post the Kardashians younger sister, Kendall Jenner, commented “YESSSS”, showing support towards her relative. Another comment was shown by a user which said: “This is a response to the haters lol.”

Khloe Kardashian has opened up in the past about her battles with herself and her looks. She has spoken about her insecurities and the trolling that she has received in previous episodes of Keeping Up with The Kardashians.

In her Instagram post she even mentioned some of the comments that she has received about her looks over the years: “Khloe is the fat sister”, “Khloe is the ugly sister”, “Her dad must not be her real dad because she looks so different” and “The only way she could have lost that weight must have been from surgery.”

In her post from the 8th April she addressed the criticism she has received over the years. Khloe wrote: “For over a decade now in photos, every single flaw and imperfection has been micro-analyzed and made fun of to the smallest detail and I am reminded of them every day by the world.

“And when I take the criticism to use as motivation to get myself in the best shape of my life and to even help others with the same struggles, I am told I couldn’t have done it through hard work and I must have paid for it all.”

This is not the first time the star has responded to photoshop comments.

Last year she clapped back after people were critiquing how different she looked in images she posted. One commented “Why do you look so different in all your photos?” which she replied, “From my weekly face transplant clearly”.

These comments and reactions are contradictory to the ‘be kind to others’ mantra that was plastered across social media last year.

The choice to filter or not to filter is one we all choose between every time we go to take a selfie, and although the Kardashians take this to a professional level, is it really right to shame them publicly for something we are all guilty of doing to our photos?
