‘The Weight of Remembering and the Consequences of Forgetting’ by Bootz Fritz
Bootz (they/them/theirs) is an interdisciplinary artist who was raised in western New York and currently lives in Denver, CO. Their work focuses on visually representing personal and collective trauma in contemporary culture. Their practice includes photography, printmaking, installation, and video. Bootz graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2020 with a BFA in art and concentrations in photography and sculpture.
‘The Weight of Remembering and the Consequences of Forgetting’ is a body of work looking at nostalgia, memory, and trauma through the lens of their experience.
